Majarra signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Great Arab Minds Initiative, launched by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in January this year. Through this MoU, Majarra will support the initiative by developing scientific content in Arabic that’s innovative and creative, and based on research.
The MoU was signed by Saeed Al Nazari, Secretary-General of the Great Arab Minds Committee, and Abdulsalam Haykal, Majarra’s Executive Chairman, during the initiative's launch ceremony held on September 29 at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. The ceremony also witnessed the signing of MoUs with KPMG, LinkedIn, and Meta.
Over the coming five years, the Great Arab Minds Initiative seeks to identify the 1000 great Arab minds with the utmost potential to make a difference in a wide range of fields, including physics and mathematics, software and data sciences, economics, scientific research, and others, and support them, in cooperation with governments, universities, research centers, and the most important institutions and companies concerned in the Arab world for shaping a brighter future for the Arab world and the world in general.
Earlier this year, Sheikh Mohammed set up a Dh100 million fund ($27.2m) to mentor and develop the brightest people in their fields. A committee of four ministers was formed to develop an integrated system to supervise the great Arab minds. The Museum of the Future, the global landmark in Dubai, will be the leading center for this new Arab movement. The opportunity this presents to young people with big ideas cannot be underestimated.
Under the partnership, Majarra will help reach the brightest Arab minds in various fields, organize and design workshops, events, and conferences to support the initiative, and develop Arabic scientific content based on innovation and creativity to help in transforming Arabic scientific and research content on the Internet. This will help great Arab minds publish their research, writings, and ideas across Majarra’s five platforms to achieve the required intellectual growth and civilizational renaissance in various parts of the Arab world.
