Majarra is participating in the new annual event of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), which is taking place in Dubai on 3 and 4 May. The annual event brings together the region's most prominent media publishing houses, journalists, content makers, policymakers and stakeholders to discuss the status of news and media institutions and the prospects for their development in light of the spread of digital content and to identify the latest regional and global trends in the field of printing and publishing. The summit also highlights innovative creative talents and successful business models in the industry.
As part of the activities of this summit, Hamoud Almahmoud, Chief Content Officer at Majarra, will speak in a fireside chat session with Ellen Heinrichs, Founder and CEO of the Bonn Institute in Germany, on the topic of "Trust in journalism in the age of news avoidance? – Applying constructive journalism in the Middle East". During the session, Almahmoud will address the causes of the spread of negativity in media coverage, analyze the concept of constructive journalism and the conditions for its application, as well as the relationship between solutions journalism and constructive journalism.
